SD Jesta Resin Kit Gallery

So I'd say this wip has been ongoing for at least 2 years, thought maybe it was time to wrap it up. nothing fancy or special here. custom mixed colors, and lots of small pins. I present, the SD Jesta

HGUC Ez8 Tempest Completed Gallery

So i didn't do too much in the way of WIPS on this guy, for the blog anyway. there was a bit on youtube, but anyway. This was originally a part of the Team Nexus 1 year anniversary build. But I've departed the team, So despite the decals, this is now a standalone build. there was a little more i wanted to do with this guy, but with the group deadline I had to skip hard decaling and weathering. But i'm still pleased with the final result. it has a little grit to it, but it's not 'dirty'

anyway lemme know what you think! gallery below!

SD Resin Zaku Completed Gallery

So, a few months ago, I asked my friend Jordan (aka ED) to do a build off with me, and that i would provide the kit. he accepted, and we began. I have really enjoyed these little SD Resin kits. they're fun quick little builds. and have nice amounts of little detail packed in, and have a really nicely styled design. it's a really good design all around. anyway. here's my half of our build off.

Master Grade Build Strike/Full Package Completed Gallery

So it's been a while since i've finished a big project. and this has been a big step for me. I loved the original Aile Strike RM, it was probably one of my favorite builds last year, and this was no exception. I started the build just like i usually do. with the frame, and i worked my way up from there.

hit the bump and we'll get started :)

GWC 1.0 entry: MG Ez8 Completed Gallery and Review

Here stands the behemoth. the past couple of weeks have been poured into making this guy look as good (I use the term 'good' very loosely here) As you can see (and have been seeing if you've been following my progress) I went with a slightly modified OOB color scheme for this guy. I kept the metallics as they would appear, and blues are in place, but instead of going with the tan color the kit was molded in, I went with a pre-shaded gray/white scheme. I think it suits the look of the kit overall better, and I think it looks more urban as opposed to having that 'desert' look to it.

I was stealing some of Dan's patented 360 degree photo 'swag' (I hope he doesn't mind) and my camera curiously enough, I guess recognised what I was doing, and automatically made a .gif out of it... technology...

anyway, Hit the bump for a small review, and some of my thoughts on this guy :) as well as a ton of photos!

Bro-Build Blue frame: Second Revise Completed Gallery

So I have finished my portion of my build-off with the amazing Dan. ( You can look at his completed red frame here ) this was an insanely awesome and hair pulling and skill testing build.

My goal here was to take everything i've learned up to this point and try to apply it as well as trying some new techniques, and using some new things here and there with this build. The most notable thing for me here was learning how to pre-shade, and the use of the metallic paints, which stand out the most in the build to me. another thing i wanted to do was create some sort of contrast between those two things, so i decided to leave the frame glossy, while using flats on the armor parts, which came out better than expected.

Dual RX-78-2 Unboxing. 0079 gallery. some other stuff

Alright! sorry for my absence. I've been slightly busy lately. but I haven't stopped building at all! With my zudah build completed, I was kind of left with not too much to do. So I decided to go ahead and build my RX-78-2 O.Y.W. 0079 ver. as an oob build. (I mean, who paints over recolors anyway when they still have the original version)

I've also made a little progress on my Age-1 normal. I haven't snapped any pictures of the skirts with OOB decals, but here's one of it painted up

Anyway. the last thing I wanted to touch on in this post is that I'm going to try to isolate my posts to focus on one kit per post rather than showing a little of everything. which shouldn't be too hard. because i'm either OOB snapping, or I'm painting. :P

A question I see a bit is "what's the difference between the two O.Y.W. gundams?"
WELL. I'm here to answer that question for you with a quick unbox of each one, side-by-side.
Please excuse my terrible messy desk. one day i'll clean it up... maybe..
