GWC 1.0 entry: MG Ez8 WIP: 2

So my aim is to get myself back into a schedule and update my blog and my youtube, as well as the various other places i post my content on a semi-regular basis. Hopefully I'll be able to make enough progress throughout the week to keep this up. So we'll see what happens.

ANYWAY. the Ez8. I've finished painting and dry brushing the frame. and i've finished painting all (read: about 90-ish%) of all of the metallics on the kit. so a majority of what's left is the armor parts, as well as the backpack.

Just a little sample. I'll try to take more pictures of the frame before i slap all of the armor on the final product. :)

Bro-Build Blue frame: Second Revise Completed Gallery

So I have finished my portion of my build-off with the amazing Dan. ( You can look at his completed red frame here ) this was an insanely awesome and hair pulling and skill testing build.

My goal here was to take everything i've learned up to this point and try to apply it as well as trying some new techniques, and using some new things here and there with this build. The most notable thing for me here was learning how to pre-shade, and the use of the metallic paints, which stand out the most in the build to me. another thing i wanted to do was create some sort of contrast between those two things, so i decided to leave the frame glossy, while using flats on the armor parts, which came out better than expected.

MG Blue-Frame Second Revise Bro-Build with GGD WIP: 3

it has been a long and busy week with work, as summer is approaching and everyone is trying to get everything sorted out for that. so i've been spending a little more time sleeping than painting. but fortunately I've got the next two days off, so I hope to wrap this guy up in that time. I'll show you some pictures and then we'll get into what's left.

Also: a big shout out to my friend Cody, for the awesome banner for my blog. Love it.

so I did a test spray and fitted the painted and decaled armor, and a comparing shot with my original blue frame build. my shading is a little heavier than i had originally hoped for, but I do like how it looks. with the blue showing through more it looks nice against the frame, but still contrasts the gloss/flats well. so i'm more than pleased with this.
