PG Ground Gundam Conversion WIP: 1

Well, now that I'm back on this blogging kick. I guess I should take a second to talk about one of my latest projects. the PG RX-79[g] (Ground Gundam) conversion. Which uses the PG RX-78-2 as a base, using parts from the frame, and lots of resin to make up the missing parts, resulting in a previously unavailable, 1/60 scale ground-type gundam. one of my personal favorites. :)

The first thing I did was separate my resin parts by limb, one box for arms, one box  for legs, one box for the mid-section, one for weapons and accessories, and then all oddities in their own container, along with decals and magnets and the such.

the parts as they were packaged, when I recieved the conversion. Very nice cast quality, and very nice detail on this guy. :)

fast forward a few months.

the mountain of parts, this isn't even all of them, that's the scary part....

aaaand after some separating, some cleanup, and some test-fitting....

we have the bathed parts, after about 12 hours in purple power. :) everything looks good so far, we're ready for primer! stay tuned!
