I got a new package today :D Blue frame update!

I recieved a new box in the mail today to my surprise. I wasn't expecting this until next week!

I can not wait to knock some of my backlog out and start on these two kits. They were two large moving forces involved in me getting back into the hobby. and I really plan on taking my time to complete them. I might even do work in progress/unboxing videos of them as well as the normal text/picture posts I've been doing. and despite the work I plan on putting into Kshatriya, I think the Crossbone Gundam is going to be a massive challenge. Another thing that kind of blew me away about the Kshatriya was the size of the box. The larger MG boxes kinda took me by surprise. but they are MG kits after all. but an HG kit with a box the same size is astounding.

Now! onto the little progress I did last night to the Blue frame [second revise]

I'm incredibly pleased with this overall. i might touch up the little blade some more. (obviously the left side of it needs it, but I mean as a whole) and at the same time, I might just go back and take all the paint off and just do the raised parts in silver.

Completed Aile Strike Real Grade and Master Grade Titus!

Well since I recieved the missing part from my Titus I slapped the head together and finished the last bit of weathering and decaling that was left on it, then threw some topcoat on, and moved on to the Aile striker. which was a pretty straight-forward build, I probably could have figured it out without instructions, and put all the decals I wanted on it. I wasn't going to originally display it with the aile striker attached. but it's really grown on me. anyway, PICTURES!

My next order of business is to finish my MG blue frame second revise. and we'll see where I go from there. I PLAN on doing my MG gp-01, and hand-painting, but we shall see.

Quick update!

Just a small quick update! This morning when I got off of work, I finished the last little bit of the main body and weapons that was left to do, and I began decaling.

ALSO today I recieved a small letter from japan, and the awesome people over at Gentei Kits with my Replacement D plate for my MG Titus, so I'll be able to bring that project to a close. And I'm off of work tomorrow, so expect a slightly larger post tomorrow with the last bits of each of those projects!

OH! BEFORE I FORGET. Has anybody used these on gunpla models before? It's the only paint that isn't spraypaint that's available near me, and I was thinking of picking a few up and painting my MG GP-01 up with them.

RG Aile Strike gundam Part 2!!!

Oh snap, part two of my real grade Aile Strike gundam. Not a whole lot to say. still working with my new lining technique and trying to get some more of those small details in and painted and whatnot. Same as last time, I'll let the pictures do the talking ;D enjoy.

one thing I have to say about this, I painted the raised parts a 'gunmetal' using a small brush, and dotted details in flat steel. unfortunately this entire part will be covered so, when I'm done you won't see this at all. I guess it just makes me feel good to know it's done. haha.

I lined underneath the front and back skirts (I think the sideskirts had some lining as well) and did bolt detail on them as well.

Mechanical detail under the shoulders. all covered up, much like the hip-area. except this detail isn't as difficult to show off.

painted finger covers, and added metallic copper to the finger joints. as well as where the metallic stickers go on the front of the arm. (because they really don't stick too well)

still have a little touching up to do on the front and top of the torso. but it's mostly done as far as build/lining is concerned.

backshot. :D

Now all that's left is the head, weapons, and the Aile Striker. I'm really pleased with the detail I've put in so far. Can't wait to put this one up on the shelf.

Aile Strike Real Grade. Part 1

ALRIGHT! The official beginning to my blog, and what better way to do that than to show off my progress on my Real Grade Aile Strike Gundam. Testing some new panel lining techniques here, and trying to focus on putting more detail on the kit. Anyway, I'll let the pictures do the talking. :D

Not the best looking ever. but I'm pleased with my results. Much cleaner panel lines, doesnt dirty the plastic around the lines too much (sometimes I do like that effect, but not on this) and is relatively easy to achieve, Just requires a little bit more time. :D

Anyway, that's all for this time. I'll leave you with this shot of my Titus, which is all finished with the exception of the head (I'm waiting on the replacement part for it to come in the mail so I can put it together) and a tiny bit of weathering, and some topcoat on the lower half.
